Overview
Quan is a YC-backed, female-led scale-up founded in 2020 and based in The Hague that provides a science-backed platform to assess and enhance team well-being and performance. The product measures over 200 predictors of well-being across work and personal life to identify individual and team risks and areas for improvement. Quan connects managers and teams with targeted solutions and reports measurable outcomes — teams using Quan have reported average improvements of 25% in targeted areas like workplace stress and anxiety within 12 weeks. Its framework is continuously validated through an academic partnership with King’s Business School at King’s College London. Quan recently entered a strategic collaboration with Utrecht-based occupational healthcare provider Zorg van de Zaak, giving access to 1.3 million employees via 67,000 customers. The company has secured a bridge funding round from current investors to support product development and expansion into the Dutch and UK markets. Quan offers a platform designed to bridge the gap between traditional engagement surveys and well-being interventions by measuring sub-dimensions of employee well-being and linking them to business metrics. The founders researched the problem with doctors, psychologists and therapists and identified more than 20 sub-dimensions underpinned by over 200 predictors. Quan launched a beta product in March 2021 and says it is working with 12 organizations and over 1,000 paid users, with a platform engagement rate of 88%. The company positions its product to help employers directly measure how well-being impacts the bottom line. Quan is offering a free access trial for company leaders as it continues to grow adoption. Financially, the company has just completed a $1.15M pre-seed raise to support product and go-to-market efforts.
