Quanfluence develops a photonics-based Optical Ising Machine that encodes computation in the electric field of collections of photons rather than single-photon qubits. Its current system handles 128 interconnected variables, and the company is developing a next-generation version that aims to scale to millions of permutations. The platform runs at room temperature and is offered via cloud access, with eight paying customers each paying roughly $2,000 per month. Quanfluence reported $400,000 in revenue in 2024. The founding team combines three former Texas Instruments chip designers who previously sold a semiconductor IP company to Synopsys with academic co-founders from IIT Madras and IISER Mohali and a product lead from Arista Networks.
