Quantum Technology Sciences offers an in-ground security product that uses a single concealed sensor to detect, track, and classify potential threats on land, underground, in the air, and in the water. Its commercial product line claims significantly greater detection ranges than alternatives and does not require line of sight, enabling operation in poor weather or darkness. For more than 15 years the company has leveraged geophysical data acquisition and analysis expertise to serve U.S. government customers, including as prime contractor for Phase III development and maintenance of the U.S. National Data Center. Quantum has also developed and delivered hundreds of tactical sensor systems for monitoring and real-time threat reporting. Founded in 1991 and based in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the company recently closed a targeted $4.4 million Series A round. The financing is intended to support technology commercialization and the initial product platform's market launch. CEO Mark Tinker, PhD, said the funding and investor group validate the company's technology and potential.
