QuarkXR is a Sofia-based deeptech startup that develops a hardware-agnostic cloud XR platform for AR and VR applications. Founded in 2016 by Georgi Georgiev and Krasimir Nikolov, the company builds an XR cloud platform for 5G and edge computing to render high-fidelity graphics and 3D modelling. Its ultra-fast software provides low-latency compression and wireless transmission to support high-fidelity rendering. QuarkXR has partnered with Oculus, Orange Silicon Valley, and Dell, and was accepted into the Bosch Startup Harbour ecosystem by NVIDIA; its clients include Deutsche Telekom and Telnet. Financially, the startup plans to raise €1.5 million and has already received €725,000 from Vitosha Venture Partners and unnamed backers while running an angel campaign on SeedBlink to reach €875,000. The company intends to use the fresh capital to develop enterprise AR and VR software.
