Overview
Quavo sells a configurable SaaS platform (QFD) that automates investigation and workflow for credit-card chargebacks and other consumer disputes across the dispute lifecycle. The company says it processes more than 12.5 million customer disputes per year for issuers, credit unions and regional banks, and counts over 50 direct clients including KeyCorp, Associated Banc-Corp and First Hawaiian Bank. Quavo reports revenue growth of 60% per year since 2022 and 100% growth in the most recent year. The company claims its technology automates roughly 80% of dispute-related tasks and interactions while recovering about 85% of potentially lost disputed funds, yielding an average 37% reduction in charge-offs and shortening time-to-credit from 11 days to under one day. Quavo also offers a managed service, Dispute Resolution Experts, staffed by fraud specialists who apply the QFD technology. Management plans to accelerate AI-based product development and expand go-to-market and customer-success teams, and has outlined four 2025 AI initiatives including internal-vs-external fraud detection, LLM-driven process streamlining, evidence-collection automation, and generative-AI improvements to call-center intake. Quavo offers cloud-based dispute management solutions for financial institutions and FinTech organizations, including automated software designed for full Reg E and Reg Z compliance. Its flagship products are QFD™, which automates fraud and dispute processing workflows from intake to case resolution, and ARIA™, a fraud-management AI that conducts investigations to reach decisions quickly. The company also offers Dispute Resolution Experts™, a human intelligence add-on to QFD. Quavo completed a $6m Series A financing led by Fintop Capital and intends to use the funds to expand go-to-market strategies, grow the brand, and add further expertise to its ecosystem. The funding coincided with the formal creation of a board of directors that includes Fintop’s John Philpott and Jared Winegrad. The company is based in East Lansing, Mich. Quavo is a technology-enabled services company that provides a software platform to resolve fraud and disputes in financial transactions. It offers managed solutions for payment disputes and Pega implementation services for customer service, onboarding, and case management. The company plans to use the funding to enhance its software-as-a-service platforms and expand its sales and marketing capacity. Quavo addresses the estimated 150 billion card transactions in the U.S. each year, of which approximately 110 million are disputed. Founded in 2016 and led by CEO Richard Jefferson and CFO Dan Penne, the company is focused on financial services. The recent investment was provided by Decathlon Capital as revenue-based financing.
