QuEra Computing

1380 Soldiers Field Road, Boston, Massachusetts, 02135, United States

Overview

QuEra Computing is a Boston-based quantum technology company that has pioneered a neutral-atom platform capable of room-temperature operation, wireless laser control and dynamic qubit rearrangement. In 2025 the firm, in partnership with Harvard, MIT and Yale, demonstrated continuous operation of a 3,000-qubit array, integrated fault-tolerant architecture with 96 logical qubits, logical magic-state distillation and a new algorithmic fault-tolerance framework, collectively resolving the main barriers to large-scale quantum computing. QuEra’s systems, such as the cloud-accessible Aquila and the on-premises Gemini-class machine installed at AIST in Japan, are already powering dozens of peer-reviewed scientific papers and hybrid HPC workflows. Commercial traction accelerated in 2025 with record revenue and cash collections from product and service deliveries, and the company has doubled its global workforce. Looking ahead, QuEra plans to unveil third-generation systems in 2026–2027 featuring large numbers of high-quality logical qubits for classically intractable problems. The company operates globally from Boston, Tokyo and the United Kingdom while expanding its Quantum Alliance with partners like BCG X and Deloitte Japan.
