Queremos (WeDemand in the USA) is a Brazilian social crowdfunding platform that helps fans crowdfund concerts and other live events. Launched in 2010 by CEO Tiago Compagnoni, the company operated as a “closed” platform in Rio de Janeiro and has attracted 52 bands, mainly from the US and UK. Through its platform it has sold nearly 50,000 tickets. The company recently launched the WeDemand platform and is expanding its presence in the US. Queremos raised c. $1m in funding and intends to use the capital for product development and US market expansion. Investors in the round include Beyond Digital Limited (advised by Talis Capital Limited) and a mix of industry and angel investors including Sean Moriarty.
