Overview
Quest Inspar manufactures patented robots that apply PipeArmor™ linings to the interior of pipelines to seal perforations, provide structural enhancement, and extend pipeline life by 50–75 years. Its robots can line pipes from 4” up to 174” in diameter and serve industries including chemical & refining, power generation, oil & gas, mining, general industrials, and water supply. The company completed the world’s first robotic rehabilitative lining of a large-diameter water supply line—2,300 feet of a 77-year-old, 58” pipeline in Tacoma, WA. Quest Inspar will accelerate development of next-generation PipeArmor robots to increase speed and single-pass run lengths and to enable rehabilitation of intrastate pipelines. The next-generation robots will be built at its engineering center in Kent, WA; its operations center is in Houston, Texas. Demand for the company’s service is described as growing rapidly amid large infrastructure needs noted by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
