Quidd provides a free mobile app (iOS and Android) that lets users buy, trade and use premium, rare digital goods including digital stickers, GIFs, cards and 3D toys. The catalog features licensed collections from entertainment brands such as Marvel, Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty. Launched in 2016 by Michael Bramlage and Erich Wood, the company operates an ecosystem of buyers, sellers, publishers and media partners. Quidd intends to use its new funding to expand that ecosystem and to increase investment in the ledger technology that underlies the platform. In the app, users can collect digital stickers for iMessage chats, digital cards for trading and completing sets, and digital toys for playing and showcasing. Quidd recently launched a partnership with Cryptozoic Entertainment to roll out digital collectibles from shows including Rick and Morty, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and The Powerpuff Girls across Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. The company raised $6.75m in funding and intends to use the proceeds to accelerate business growth and expand operations.
