Quoherent is developing room-temperature, solid-state "third-wave" quantum qubits based on topological materials that enable ambient-temperature operation with low quantum noise. Its processors are designed to be edge-capable and built on silicon, allowing integration with standard PCB technology for scalability. The company’s mission is to deploy the world’s first high-fidelity, scalable quantum processors on mobile platforms where first- and second-wave quantum computers cannot operate. Quoherent closed a $4.7 million Series Seed financing to accelerate development of its qubit technology. The new capital will supplement diversified funds from a growing customer base that includes private and government partners. The company traces its technology to a decade-long research collaboration among its founders and the Wake Forest Center for Nanotechnology and Quantum Materials and plans further collaborations with research institutions to build its ecosystem.
