Quorum Control
Erdmannstr. 13, Berlin, 10827, Germany
Overview
Quorum Control is a six-person, Berlin-based technology company that launched the Tupelo TestNet, an ownership-based distributed ledger platform. Tupelo reorganizes nodes into "chain trees" and employs a more efficient consensus algorithm to enable verification of only relevant transaction history for unique assets. The platform leverages existing NFT protocols to avoid smart contracts, aiming for greater energy efficiency and scalability compared with traditional blockchains. Quorum Control says Tupelo targets real-world applications such as real estate title transfers and supply chain transparency. The company raised a $2.9 million equity round to fund organizational growth and platform optimization and plans to pursue an ICO only after Tupelo is proven in business use cases. Quorum Control was founded in 2015 as Infosec Technology and is led by co-founder and CEO Topper Bowers, a Y Combinator alum.
