Shine Security builds next-generation anti-virus technology aimed at detecting advanced persistent threats, including attacks on par with Stuxnet. Its software looks for the slightest abnormalities on mobile devices and PCs to surface sophisticated intrusions. Founder and CEO Ron Porat says the technology is designed to make the operating system unbreakable. The company will initially target Android devices, with iOS support planned to follow. Shine has raised $3.3 million to advance its next-generation anti-virus technology. The round was led by Horizons Ventures with participation from Initial Capital.
