Overview
Qura offers an AI search engine used by lawyers to navigate millions of documents from hundreds of scattered legal sources, covering areas from environmental law to financial regulation. The platform launched a Beta in April and is serving over 50 legal teams. The company says its LLM-powered approach can comb archives in seconds, reframing search and structuring of legal databases rather than acting as a simple chatbot. Founders include Erik Nordmark, who conceived the idea while studying law, technical co-founders Kevin Kastberg and Arvid Winterfeldt (both with physics backgrounds and Kastberg with AI research experience), and industry expert Elisabet Dahlman Löfgren, formerly of Mannheimer Swartling. Qura aims to further showcase LLMs' ability to read, understand and connect large bodies of text and to become a world-leading solution in that space. The company recently raised funding to support product development and expanded legal data collection.
