R8tech builds a building-management platform that integrates data from existing BMS installations and thousands of sensors to optimize indoor climate, detect faults, and manage tasks for building staff. The software targets large commercial properties such as shopping centres, office buildings and other asset classes. The company currently oversees roughly 500,000 sqm of real estate and plans to triple that area this year. Reported energy savings vary between 10–20% per property, with some cases higher—for example a 25,000 sqm government building cut consumption by a third and saved 225 tons of CO2 in four months. R8tech was founded in 2017 and is active in 12 EU countries including Portugal, Finland, Austria, the Netherlands and Poland, and serves clients such as WeWork. The startup recently raised financing to support expansion of its platform.
