Rabot Charge
Reimersbrücke 5, Hamburg, 20457, Germany
Overview
Founded in 2021, Rabot Charge offers dynamic, market-based electricity tariffs to households across Germany—even to customers without smart meters—by purchasing power on day-ahead and intraday markets through proprietary AI algorithms. Its mobile app tells users when electricity is cheapest and can automatically shift loads such as electric-vehicle charging, enabling average bill reductions of about 35 percent and annual savings of several hundred euros. The company has attracted more than 35,000 customers in its first year of nationwide service and currently employs around 60 people at offices in Hamburg, Berlin and Munich. Beyond the consumer offering, Rabot Charge licenses its software as a white-label solution to utilities and smart-asset providers. The platform’s smart-home integrations are being expanded to additional high-consumption devices such as heat pumps and other household or industrial assets. Future product development will focus on enhancing the AI trading engine that buys renewable power at optimal prices and increasing automation for end users. By passing wholesale savings directly to consumers, Rabot Charge positions itself as both a cost saver and an enabler of Germany’s energy transition.
