Racket offers a TikTok-esque endless vertical feed of short audio snippets capped at 99 seconds, with in-app editing, tagging, cover images and one-tap publishing. The product is designed to lower barriers to audio creation and improve discovery for up-and-coming creators by encouraging brief, low-friction recordings. The app launched on iOS after a testing period that saw early interest from a small subcommunity of comedians. Racket plans to use new funding to hire engineers, refine design, and expand trust and safety resources. The team behind Racket has worked together since 2019 and previously built Capiche, which was sold to Vendr in April. The company sees the format as a way to expand the top of the funnel for user-created audio and grow the overall podcasting ecosystem.
