Radiaction Medical
10 HaNechoshet Street, Tel Aviv, 6971072, Israel
Overview
Radiaction Medical develops a plug-and-play system that attaches to C-arm systems and proactively blocks up to 97% of scatter radiation at the source, providing head-to-toe protection while allowing unencumbered patient care and access. The technology is clinically supported by extensive lab testing and peer-reviewed, published real-world literature validating its performance in clinical settings. Radiaction has received CE Marking and FDA clearance and is currently being marketed in North America. The company is rapidly expanding its footprint in the United States by adding new sites and providing key support staff to ensure successful system installations. Radiaction is also developing additional features and growing its clinical publication pipeline to further support the technology’s performance with clinical data. Financially, the company announced a $12.6 million Series C2 financing and elected Christopher Barys to its board to support market development and growth. RadiAction Medical develops an innovative radiation shielding device for fluoroscopic systems used in interventional suites. Its device transfers radiation shielding from personnel to the fluoroscopy system while integrating with the physician’s workflow and delivering zero impact on X‑ray image quality. The solution is designed to let medical teams increase the number of image‑guided procedures performed annually, extend time in the catheterization lab, and reduce risks from X‑ray exposure. RadiAction’s technology is protected by several patents in the USA and globally. The company intends to use proceeds from its $5.7M Series A to accelerate R&D, complete required tests, obtain regulatory clearances, and bring a commercial product to market. RadiAction was founded in 2014 by Dr. Amir Belson and Jonathan Yifat in the RAD Biomed incubator in Israel and is based in Tel Aviv.
