Radiant (formerly Neamine) is building a solar thermal solution that integrates next-generation heliostats, a proprietary receiver and thermal energy storage to supply heat between 200 °C and 1,000 °C at outputs of 2–50 MW. The core technology draws on 15 years of R&D conducted at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and can generate hot air above 1,000 °C, exceeding current industry standards. Aimed at replacing gas burners and oil-fired boilers, the system targets heat-intensive sectors such as asphalt, glass and cement, where kilns and dryers are major emission sources. Early commercial interest has emerged from companies in these sectors seeking to decarbonise operations while stabilising energy costs. The company will use its latest capital to build its first industrial demonstrator in Le Mans, validating scalability and on-site deployment efficiency. Participation in Hexa’s Carbon Zero acceleration programme provides additional mentorship and resources. Over time, Radiant plans to expand internationally and accelerate the wider adoption of its technology to decarbonise industrial heat.
