BAGBNB is a Rome-based luggage storage network that connects travelers to a community of partner businesses offering secure short-term storage. The company works with BAGBNB “Angels” — partners ranging from hotels to cafes — that provide the storage spots. Founded in 2016 and led by CEO and co-founder Alessandro Seina with Giulio De Donato and Giacomo Piva, the network spans roughly 3,000 locations in 300 cities and has stored over 1.5 million pieces of luggage in three years. BAGBNB says it has outpaced competitors, who have stored about one-third as much luggage. The startup plans to use new funding to invest in marketing and recruit young talent to improve the service experience and expand geographic coverage to over a thousand cities worldwide. It has set a goal of doubling turnover in 2020 versus the previous year.
