Raiar Orgânicos is one of the largest organic egg producers in the country, focused on commercial organic egg production. Its core product is organic eggs produced at a 170-hectare farm in Avaré, São Paulo, which currently has eight production aviaries (each housing 20,000 chickens) and two rearing aviaries. The company plans to complete the originally planned 32 production and eight rearing aviaries at Avaré, bringing that farm to 700,000 hens (about a third of its poultry housing when complete), and aims to house 2 million laying birds company-wide. Raiar intends to buy another farm to add roughly 700,000 chickens and to outsource poultry housing through partnerships with farmers new to poultry production, supplying organic feed from Avaré and a production guide; partner remuneration is not yet finalized. Financially, Raiar was founded in 2020 with an initial R$100 million investment and recently closed a R$50 million fundraising round (25% above target) to accelerate expansion and double farm capacity within 12 months.
