Overview
Founded and launched in early 2014, Raisin (formerly SavingGlobal) operates a cross-border savings marketplace designed to give consumers access to the best deposit rates available anywhere in Europe. Through partnerships with local banks, the platform performs anti-money-laundering checks once and then serves as a gateway, allowing customers to open and administer multiple accounts without separate in-person applications. Users see all of their deposits—held at different European banks—inside a single web or app interface. The company’s technology navigates disparate bank APIs and legacy systems to standardize account opening and management. Raisin’s vision is to build a pan-European marketplace where every resident can access a wide array of savings products regardless of national borders. Management also plans to broaden the product set beyond fixed-term deposits to additional savings account types. After its Series B, the startup has secured a total of €30 million in funding, providing capital to scale its marketplace and add new bank partners.
