Rampart Bioscience is developing next-generation DNA-based biologics via its proprietary HALO platform, which the company says drives nuclear trafficking and retention while avoiding immune responses. Rampart's lead program targets hypophosphatasia (HPP), a rare genetic disease that prevents bone mineralization, and the company has additional programs in development. The executive team collectively has over seven decades of biotechnology experience, with founders who previously worked together at Calimmune and who led development of the only approved therapy for HPP at Enobia. Rampart states its mission is to create efficacious medicines that are accessible and affordable for patients and families. The company is based in La Jolla, California and intends to advance its therapeutic candidates toward the clinic.
