RatePoint closed a $7M Series C round co‑led by Prism VentureWorks, .406 Ventures and Castile Ventures. The investment brings the total amount raised by the company to date to $23.5M. Based in Needham, MA, RatePoint provides customer reviews, testimonials and online reputation management services for small businesses. Its platform lets small businesses participate in the online review process and respond to unhappy customers or negative feedback before it is posted online. The review process verifies consumer reviews for authenticity so businesses know they are communicating with actual customers. Once authenticated reviews are collected, RatePoint provides a variety of solutions to promote reviews to existing and potential customers. The company was launched by the founders of GeoTrust.
