Razor Network is a decentralized oracle platform focused on providing permissionless oracle services for DeFi. The team is led by founder and CEO Hrishikesh Huilgolkar, a former ConsenSys software engineer. Razor says it is building a "truly decentralized oracle solution" to avoid single points of failure common in many current oracle systems. The company has designed a dispute-resolution mechanism intended to ensure attackers lose in dispute rounds, addressing the trade-off between speed and security. Razor raised $3.7 million in seed funding to advance development and prepare for a 2021 launch for developers to build "state-of-the-art dapps." The firm also noted that the first phase of Ethereum 2.0 will make its work easier.
