Reactwise develops a software platform that uses machine-learning modelling to predict and identify improved chemical reaction conditions. Its interface enables scientists to run in-silico optimisation of reactions and guide experimentation. The company operates a robotic laboratory and has screened thousands of chemical reactions to build proprietary reactivity models. Reactwise completed Y Combinator’s summer 2024 batch and is currently running 12 pilot studies with several large pharmaceutical companies. The team is led by CEO Alexander Pomberger and CTO Daniel Wigh. Financially, the company recently closed a £2.6M pre-seed round backed by Y Combinator, the UK government, other VCs and angel investors, and it received a competitive Innovate UK grant.
