ReadySet Technology

Overview
ReadySet offers a managed database infrastructure that pre-computes and caches relational query results, delivering sub-millisecond latencies and millions of reads per second on a single node. The platform sits in front of existing relational databases and keeps cached state up to date automatically, allowing integration without code changes. The product originated from MIT research by co-founders Alana Marzoev and Jon Gjengset (the open-source Noria project) and was commercialized as a managed service. Marzoev previously researched cloud infrastructure at Microsoft and Gjengset was an SDE at AWS. ReadySet is currently pre-revenue and working with a small number of design partners while it readies a generally available product. The company positions itself as an alternative to custom query-caching, Materialize, and key-value stores like Redis, aiming to remove caching toil for engineering teams.
