Real offers an app that equips real estate agents with marketing, administrative, and management tools so agents can work independently of traditional brokers. The company charges a 15% commission per transaction with no additional fees, compared with the roughly 30% commission many brokers charge. Real recently moved its product out of a one-year beta and has its full service available. It currently serves 10 states, including Georgia, Colorado, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, and Washington, D.C. The company said it will use the new funding to expand into more states and to add additional features to the app. Real is led by founder and CEO Tamir Poleg and is headquartered in Houston. To date the company has raised at least $7.2 million since its first round in 2014.
