Really Simple Software offers the Simple.TV streaming DVR platform that lets consumers instantly access live and recorded TV on tablets, phones, and connected TV screens. The company was founded in 2011 by Mark Ely and Bruce Randall and is based in Tiburon, California. It launched with seed capital from Accanto Partners. The company says it will use the new capital to expand the Simple.TV platform, enhance its cloud services, and add new client applications across consumer electronics devices. Management also plans to expand the service beyond North America. The company recently closed a $5M Series A to support these efforts.
