Overview
Reapplix develops a unique device technology for tissue regeneration that is currently focused on wound care, marketed as the LeucoPatch® System in Europe. The system produces an autologous LeucoPatch® on demand using a single‑use LeucoPatch® Device together with the LeucoPatch 3CP™ Centrifuge and patent‑protected 3CP™ Technology, requiring no reagents. The company has completed product development and obtained regulatory clearance in both Europe and the USA. Reapplix is currently pre‑revenue and is investing in clinical evidence and commercial proof of principle. It is awaiting the completion in 2017 of a large randomized controlled trial, which it says will be key to gaining reimbursement. The company intends to raise further growth capital in 2018 to undertake the full commercial launch of LeucoPatch®. Reapplix develops LeucoPatch, a biological patch designed to stimulate cells' healing abilities and act as an antibacterial layer to fight infection in poorly healing wounds. A clinical study at Bispebjerg Hospital Centre for Wound Healing showed promising results, including on wounds up to ten years old. The company raised DKK7.6m from venture fund SEED Capital. Proceeds will be used to conduct additional clinical efficacy studies on diabetic foot ulcers and to prepare for commercialization of the product. Reapplix was formed in 2008 by Professor Niels Erik Holm and M.Sc. Rasmus Lundquist and received initial funding from DTU Symbion Innovation for development and testing. It participated in 2009 in the Symbion Accelerace entrepreneurial program, which supported the company with business development and a loan.
