Rebundle makes hair extensions from plant-based banana fiber and sells them direct-to-consumer through its website. The company is based in St. Louis and is led by CEO and co-founder Ciara Imani May. It is building U.S.-based production facilities rather than offshore and plans to invest the new capital in its team and supply chain. Prior to this pre-seed, Rebundle secured six-figures in grants and other non-dilutive capital. Products were selling out in an hour or less before the raise, and customers may replace extensions up to five times per year, giving the product recurring-purchase potential. The product aims to remove plastics that can irritate scalps and reduce waste; the gross-margin profile is not yet clear.
