Rebus Biosystems
2255 Martin Ave Suite F, Santa Clara, CA, 95050, United States
Overview
Rebus Biosystems develops an automated spatial omics instrument that pairs its patented Synthetic Aperture Optics (SAO) with custom microfluidics and image processing to deliver subcellular resolution across large tissue sections. The SAO system provides the resolution and sensitivity of a 100X oil lens while retaining the breadth and depth of a 20X air lens, and captures data up to 100 times faster than other imaging‑based spatial omics methods that rely on 100X lenses and z‑stacking. The platform is integrated with optimized assay kits for spatial transcriptomics, and early access is available through the Spatial Omics as a Service program, with academic groups and pharmaceutical companies already using the data. The company plans to launch a fully integrated, automated, standalone instrument and assay kits in early 2021, with expanded multi‑omic applications to follow. Rebus has already deployed hardware to laboratories worldwide and positions its product to increase throughput without compromising biological fidelity. The company rebranded from Optical Biosystems to Rebus Biosystems.
