Recicli operates in urban mining and the recycling of complex industrial residues and electronic waste, with R&D activities concentrated in Belo Horizonte. The company has partnerships with CIT/SENAI and CDTN/UFMG to support its research, development and innovation efforts. Recicli is modernizing its production line and storage infrastructure and plans to conclude those improvements by the end of the year. It intends to open two new pre-processing units in Belo Horizonte and Salvador and build a plant to process electronic waste in Belo Horizonte with at least 40 employees. The startup processed 30 tonnes of equipment in the past three years and aims to reach 4,500 tonnes of e-waste processed per year, doubling capacity every two years and targeting more than 10% market share in Bahia and Sergipe. Founded in 2017 and initially self-financed, Recicli plans a future Seed raise of R$20 million to fund expansion and is expanding teams across Aracaju, Salvador and Belo Horizonte.
