Overview
ReciMe is a recipe‑management app built to help home cooks centralise, organise and share recipes, and to shop for ingredients. Its standout feature is a smart importer that aggregates recipes from Instagram videos, blogs or handwritten sources within seconds. The app launched in late 2021 and the founding team — sisters Christine and Ivy Nguyen and Will Kent — recently relocated to New York City to pursue US growth. ReciMe says it has been embraced by more than 500,000 home cooks across America and has imported over 100,000 unique recipes. Over the past six months user retention has tripled, and after introducing a subscription model the company reports a 20x increase in subscribers and revenue. Investors and its leadership describe further US expansion and broader global growth as the near‑term path ahead. ReciMe is a free mobile app that enables anyone to share and discover recipes from their family, friends and global community. The product targets two groups: less-experienced cooks looking for meal ideas and recipe creators who can publish and eventually monetise premium content. The app launched in November last year after the founders began the project during Melbourne’s pandemic lockdowns. Founders Christine and Ivy Nguyen and Will Kent quit their full-time jobs earlier this year to focus on ReciMe full time. The company has grown to more than 15,000 users and reported 50% month-on-month growth. ReciMe plans to personalise recipe discovery and introduce creator monetisation features to let cooks sell premium content directly to fans.
