ReciTAL builds a document-intelligence platform that applies deep learning and natural language processing to extract data from contracts, emails and other documents. Users can retrieve the right information with a simple query in about a second. The automation is designed to save time, smooth customer relations and provide more reliable risk assessments—benefits that appeal to major banks and insurers among its clients. The platform is intended to be easy to use across an organisation and currently has about 40,000 users. Founded in 2017 and based in Paris, ReciTAL's 30-person team includes six PhDs and is guided by a scientific committee featuring Antoine Bordes of Facebook AI Research in Europe. The company recently raised €3.5 million from Breega to continue developing its deep learning business software.
