QuestBook operates a platform that helps blockchain and web3 projects give grants and invest in developers, screening applicants using on-chain and GitHub history. The company began by teaching developers to code in Solidity and Rust and published over 100 tutorials, building a community of over 18,000 developers. QuestBook has worked with projects including Polygon, Aave, Near and Harmony and has helped disburse over $1.5 million in grants so far. The startup currently does not monetize its software but plans to scale grants disbursement to $30 million–$50 million over the next two quarters. QuestBook is building tooling to enable small funds/DAOs with transparent governance and has built a gasless wallet to allow fee-free information transactions. Longer-term it aims to broaden permissionless work for developers by improving credentialing and workflows.
