Recleim is an appliance recycling company specializing in closed-loop resource recovery using proprietary design and technology. Using state-of-the-art equipment, it recovers approximately 95% (by weight) of the commodity components in recycled appliances and captures and destroys refrigerants and greenhouse gases from insulating foam. The company has experienced unprecedented growth in appliances recycled since 2015. Recleim invested in its first de-manufacturing facility in Graniteville in 2013, which now employs over 120 people. It now operates two other de-manufacturing facilities and nine logistics hubs across the eastern half of the United States. The company recently received its first round of funding from SCRA Technology Ventures' SC Launch program. The SC Launch program provides funding, mentoring, and support to early-stage companies in South Carolina, which could help Recleim scale operations across North America.
