Recoshelf builds an IoT/AI surveillance solution for offline retail that combines proprietary hardware (cameras, meters, thermometers) with software to detect empty shelves, monitor crowdedness, and track fridge temperatures. The company supplies its service together with its own hardware rather than relying on clients' existing equipment. Founded by Yaroslav Parkhisenko in January 2020, Recoshelf has one commercial client, several pilot projects in the works, and dozens of potential clients lined up. The startup opened a sales office in London and reports growing interest from retailers there and elsewhere. Recoshelf attracted attention from incubator Demium and the Ukrainian Startup Fund, which praised the team and strategy. The company plans to use new funding to hire additional staff in Ukraine and other locations to meet rising demand.
