Overview
Recovo operates a platform that enables fashion brands to buy and sell surplus fabrics and yarns and to convert textile waste into reusable resources. The company has expanded its offering to include recycling, a materials-of-the-future marketplace, and an Upcycling service that digitizes surplus inventory for internal reuse. Recovo plans to use new funding to invest in technology for its platform and to accelerate international expansion. Founded in May 2021 and based in Spain, it now operates in more than 16 European markets. The company reported 800% growth in 2022 versus 2021, serves over 773 clients and has surpassed 20 employees. To date Recovo says it has recovered 1.7M metres of fabric and achieved impact savings of 89,333 kg CO2 and 18M litres of water. Recovo is a re-commerce platform for surplus fabrics, yarns and production materials. The startup enables textile recovery so companies can give leftover fabrics a second life and reduce environmental impact. Its business model emphasizes circularity through technology, traceability and community. Recovo was founded in 2021 and is participating in Mango StartUp Studio's acceleration program. The program provides mentoring, training on buying and selling fabrics, product architecture and UX, marketplace development, and support to create a recognizable Recovo label. Mango supports Recovo via a convertible participative loan and collaborative acceleration to help product and go-to-market development.
