Overview
Recyda offers a SaaS platform for sustainable packaging management that digitally assesses packaging recyclability, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) fees, and other sustainability aspects to meet international standards. The product supports packaging R&D, master data management, and financial reporting and forecasting across the packaging value chain. Its customers include leading FMCG brands such as Beiersdorf, Kao and Trolli, which use the platform to optimise packaging for recyclability. The company positions itself to help manufacturers, brand owners and retailers comply with new and ambitious EU legislative mandates on packaging. Recyda intends to use recent funding to accelerate product development, expand regional coverage in its software, and acquire new international customers. The platform is designed to act as an operating system for sustainable packaging across functions like Sustainability and Finance. Recyda provides a SaaS platform that assesses the recyclability of packaging against international regulations for businesses and brands. Founded in 2020 by Vivian Loftin, Anna Zießow and Christian Knobloch, the company says its software supports implementation of sustainable packaging requirements and significantly optimises reporting obligations for different markets. The startup raised €1.75 million in a round led by Speedinvest, with participation from existing investor Futury Capital, the Auxxo Female Catalyst Fund and angel investors. Recyda plans to use the new capital to expand into international markets, accelerate product development and hire new talent. Co‑CEO Anna Zießow said the company will introduce "exciting innovations" to its software in the coming months. Co‑CEO Christian Knobloch framed the product as contributing to a sustainable future by keeping valuable materials in the cycle.
