Reduct.Video provides an AI and natural-language-processing platform that automatically transcribes video and ties each word to the corresponding moment in the footage, making editing as simple as editing text. Users can opt for paid professional transcription, while the core product enables searching, organizing, tagging and sharing across hours of video. Founders Prabhas Pokharel (CEO) and Robert Ochshorn (CTO) position the product as an "Iron Man suit" that enhances human editors rather than fully automating the process. Reduct is used by customers including Intuit, Autodesk, Facebook, Dell, Spotify, Indeed, Superhuman and IDEO. The team says the product is designed to dramatically increase the amount of video businesses create by lowering the time and effort to find and edit relevant clips. Financially, Reduct recently raised a $4 million round led by Greylock and South Park Commons with participation from Dylan Field, Armando Mann and Elad Gil.
