1041 Mackenzie Pl, Wheaton, IL, 60187, United States
Overview
RedWave Energy develops a nanoscale film (nanoantenna-based) that converts unused waste heat below 250°C into electricity. The technology targets abundant, underserved low-quality waste heat from industrial sources such as electric power generation, flat glass and glass container manufacturing, and integrated circuit manufacturing. The company holds exclusively licensed, patent-protected IP from Idaho National Labs, the University of Colorado and MicroContinuum. Strategic end-user and partner interest has been expressed across multiple industrial sectors. RedWave is led by CEO Jim Nelson and CTO Pat Brady. Financially, the company completed a $5.5M funding round that unlocked a $3.8M DOE ARPA-E grant.
