REE Automotive develops REEcorner technology and ultra-modular electric vehicle platforms that pack steering, braking, suspension, powertrain and control into compact modules located between the chassis and the wheel. Its approach enables fully flat EV platforms that increase passenger/cargo space, payload capacity and body-design flexibility while supporting ADAS and autonomous capability. The company positions a CapEx-light manufacturing model that leverages Tier 1 partners’ existing production lines and touts lower total cost of ownership and faster development times for customers. REE says it can support vehicles from class 1 through class 6 for multiple applications and target markets. REE opened an Engineering Center in the UK in February and is pursuing mass production and commercialisation of its REEcorner and platform technology.
