Overview
Reflex Robotics builds a humanoid robot designed to assist workers with repetitive tasks. Its in-house design pairs a torso with a wheeled base so sensors and arms can move vertically, enabling it to reach shelves at varying heights and navigate confined spaces. The company demonstrated the robot at Modex 2024 in Atlanta, where it took requests from spectators and retrieved food and beverages from a shelf. Reflex says the humanoid can perform beverage packaging, cutting in a wood shop, warehouse palletizing, closing boxes, and picking totes, and that users can remotely operate robots up to 3,000 miles away. The startup lists a single hardware price reportedly under $50,000 and reports a current human-to-robot productivity ratio of 1-to-1 while targeting a 1-to-2 ratio in warehouses. Reflex aims to deploy hundreds of robots globally in 2025 and recently raised $7 million in a funding round that included Khosla Ventures, Dropbox, and Cruise.
