Regeno designs modular, plug-and-play wind turbines engineered to be serviced from ground level and assembled without cranes or specialist installers. Its design aims to reduce installation and maintenance costs, shorten downtime, and change the economics of wind deployment. Regeno says each unit can cut carbon emissions by up to 1.5 tonnes per year and save users up to 25% on electricity costs. The company plans to commercialise its prototype, run field trials, target farms first, and then expand to larger onshore and offshore wind farms. Regeno intends to use the recent £422K raise to prove the technology and conduct those field trials, followed by another seed round to certify for safety and enable global deployment. The company was founded by solo CEO Adarsh Bhardwaj, who developed the idea during his dissertation at the University of Strathclyde.
