Overview
Reken is a San Francisco-based AI and cybersecurity company building AI products and a platform to protect against generative AI threats. Founded in January by Shuman Ghosemajumder and Rich Griffiths, the firm focuses on defending against deepfake social engineering and autonomous fraud. Ghosemajumder previously served as Google’s Global Head of Product for Trust & Safety, Head of AI at F5, and CTO at Shape Security. Reken raised $10M in Seed funding led by Greycroft and FPV Ventures with participation from Firebolt Ventures, Fika Ventures, Omega Venture Partners, Homebrew, and JAZZ Venture Partners, plus investments from Jon Steinback and Vishal Vasishth. The company will use the funds for core research and development to build new AI technologies and products aimed at mitigating generative AI threats. Greycroft partner Marcie Vu, who helped lead Google’s IPO, joined Reken’s board.
