Ren-Gas is a Finnish power-to-gas company focused on converting renewable electricity into green hydrogen and e-methane for heavy-duty trucks and maritime vessels. Its core offering is a nationwide network of e-methane production plants built in partnership with local energy companies. The flagship facility in Tampere has reached construction-ready status, and the broader pipeline exceeds 700 MW of planned electrolysis capacity—enough fuel output for roughly 7,000 heavy trucks per year. In December 2024 the company signed a long-term hydrogen power purchase agreement with Wina Energy to secure renewable electricity for the Tampere site. Ren-Gas aims to accelerate emissions reduction in transport by scaling these plants across Finland. The recent €16 million growth round strengthens its balance sheet and funds initial construction and further project development.
