Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services (RAIS) is a membership alliance for independent property and casualty insurance agencies, providing members with higher commissions, access to more carriers, products, markets, and a suite of services. Founded in 1999 and based in Wellesley, Massachusetts, RAIS currently has over 80 members in the New England region collectively selling $600M in insurance premium. The platform supports agency growth and profitability by enabling agencies to focus on client-facing activities while benefiting from scale. RAIS plans to use new capital to expand outside the New England region and to broaden services and technology offerings for its member agents. It already operates in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and New York. CEO Bruce Cochrane and Janet Cochrane remain in executive leadership roles following the investment.
