Renasens

Stockholm, 113 56, Sweden

Overview

Renasens has developed a platform that uses modified supercritical CO₂ to separate and decolour blended textiles and recover intact fibres without water or toxic chemicals. The recovered materials can be reintroduced into existing manufacturing processes without requiring new equipment, and the system is designed to be modular for deployment within existing facilities. The company says its technology enables fibre‑to‑fibre recycling at industrial scale and aims to reduce reliance on imported virgin materials. Renasens has already begun supplying recovered cotton and polyester fibres to manufacturers in Portugal and Italy. The new funding will be used to build and develop a pilot plant in Borås, Sweden, and to scale supply of recovered fibres into European manufacturing. The company positions itself to address the large volume of post‑consumer textile waste in Europe and to respond to tightening EU recycling regulations.
