Renovo Concepts develops the Mechanical Tissue Resuscitation (MTRTM) device, a proprietary medical-device therapy researched at Wake Forest School of Medicine. The MTRTM technology—developed by Dr. Louis Argenta and Michael Morykwas—has shown promising results treating traumatic, ischemic and hemorrhagic injuries to the brain, heart and spinal cord. Wake Forest has licensed the MTRTM patent estate exclusively to Renovo for use in those areas. Renovo was formed in 2017 and is led by CEO Mark Standeford. The company plans to use the recent financing for final product development, initial manufacturing and a First‑In‑Human (safety) study focused on traumatic brain injury.
