Rent Chief is a Birmingham, UK-based company building an online property management platform that automates routine tasks for property investors, landlords and lettings agents. The platform helps users find new tenants and reliable tradespeople, provides updates on sector regulations, and sources mortgage and insurance products. The company was launched by serial entrepreneurs Patrick Shuker and Jon Whitmore. Rent Chief raised £250k in funding to advance its operations. The funds will be used to bring the product to market, launch a sales and marketing campaign and create five new jobs. As part of the deal Jon Whitmore, the former CEO of TrigoldCrystal, has been appointed Non-Executive Chairman.
